The Eco-Friendly Polypropylene Bags
Polypropylene Bags are manufactured using recycled polypropylene and are best for making these types of bags. The material used for the manufacture of this bag - polypropylene is a commonly used resin for making plastic bags. What exactly is this type of material? It is a synthetic polymer of propylene monomers. It is a flexible type of material and is a lightweight thermoplastic. These bags are thicker and stronger when compared with the similarly manufactured bags. Polypropylene is a hydrocarbon that is extracted from the petroleum refining process.
Some of the products which are manufactured with this material are Polypropylene Bags, luggage, carpeting, fibre, strapping, containers, packaging and tubing. Due to its uniqueness, recycled polypropylene is used by many industries to manufacture an unlimited range of products. Most of these products are manufactured using the "injection moulding process" and these products range from household goods such as containers for yoghurt, margarine and take away packs. Some of the other products that are manufactured are medicine bottles, bottle caps and closures and bottles for ketchup and syrup.
Today the environment is crammed with plastics. Practically every shop and supermarket will have the majority of their packages in plastic. These are all harmful to the environment and eventually end up as non-decomposing garbage in landfills. If these plastics are not properly binned, you would see them thrown around and they will remain there for ages sans decomposing.
Conversely, PP Bags are a more environment friendly bag which if gaining popularity rapidly especially because it is made of recycled products and is not harmful to nature. These bags are much stronger and durable than the normal plastic bag. They are manufactured by many companies and it is now a cost effective way of packaging products. They are also available in a number of styles and sizes and it is important to know the correct methods of disposal of these bags, especially because they are a recycled product.
These bags are ideal for shoppers who can use them every time they go shopping for groceries etc. They are cost-effective too.
PP Bags are a good mode for promotional merchandise as well. Business companies, especially those from the supermarket chain use this bag as their promotional product. It is now popularly used because it can be recycled and is environmentally friendly. Using recycled products for advertising creates a good company image as it shows the support provided towards the protection of the environment.
Most of the online web stores offer a range of Polypropylene Bags which are suited for a variety of uses. You can study the quality and descriptions of these bags before deciding on placing an order. Considering the present-day concern for the environment, it will be a good idea to use this bag for promotional purposes.

Plastic Bottles Are Destroying The Environment
The transition from glass bottles to plastic was a horrible mistake. Millions, if not billions, of plastic bottles are now filling up our landfills.
We now use plastic bottles for pop, water, juice, milk and many others. These plastic bottles take literally forever to break down. They will remain "intact" within our landfills, long after our grandchildren are dead and gone.
Nobody bothers to recycle them, they simply get thrown in the trash. Even worse they are strewn all along our roads and highways. What an environmental tragedy!
Some states likeIowaandMichiganhave enacted laws to encourage recycling of pop bottles and cans. They require a deposit of 5 or 10 cents on each pop bottle or can. When you return the cans or bottles to the store you are refunded this deposit.
These type of deposit programs do help some but not near enough. They only apply the mandatory deposit to pop and beer cans and plastic bottles. This does nothing to keep plastic water and juice bottles out of the landfills, or along roads and highways.
States that require a bottle or can deposit need to expand it to include all plastic bottles. This is the only way to ensure the reduction of litter along roadways, as well as the landfill problem. Not many people want to throw away dimes or nickels these days.
As a former resident ofIowaI can tell you that these programs work. Sure there are still the very few that are dumb enough to throw away the nickel. That doesn't mean they are not found.
Many people hit the ditches along roads and highways, looking for discarded bottles and cans that are refundable. I did it often. Not only is it great exercise, it helps the environment and is quite profitable.
I once walked a mile on the highway in front of my home, actually retrieving over $40 worth of cans and bottles. Not a bad little walk!
As a home gardener I am always conscientious about the environment. I would like to see all states adopt a bottle deposit. One that covers all plastic bottles. What a great way that would be to start healing the environment!
