How to Install Siri on iOS 6 A4 based iPhone, iPod
Your 4th generation iPod touch or iPhone 4 can have Siri on them only if you have them jailbroken first with Cydia successfully installed.
Cydia will let you install the Cydia repo from where you can get needed software for Siri configuration on your device. This tutorial will teach you that how to Install Siri on iOS 6.
Note: Be aware that this process exposes your device’s stability and your privacy to risk. Go through with this process on your own risk.

Steps To Install Siri on iOS 6 A4 Based Devices
Step 1: The first step without which you cannot get Siri on your iOS 6 device is jailbreaking your device and installing Cydia on it.
Step 2: Launch Cydia, open Manage then go to Edit under Sources. Finally, select Add. In the given space, add: http://repo.siriport.ru. Once done, tap on Add Source.
Step 3: Look for SiriPort (Original) iOS 6, in SiriPort.Ru source. Install it.
Step 4: Open Settings.app from your Home Screen and look for SiriPort.Ru Original. Launch it and select Install Certificate when the Safari window shows. OK it.
Step 5: Then follows some tapping to do. When the Install Profile shows up, tap on Install option. Again tap Install in the top right corner. Wait for a green “Trusted” on the screen for Profile Installed. You can quit Safari after hitting Done.
Step 6: At this point you have Siri accessible on your phone. Launch it by pressing the Home button for a while and say “Hi”. If it does not seem to work then retry again and again. It is only possible to use Siri after she has responded for the first time. True this can be very frustrating but it does work after a while or so.
According to some users you need to reboot the device but I did it without and it worked for me after a while. If retries don’t work for you, try to reboot, but being that this is a tethered jailbreak, it makes the process even more time consuming.
Note: Once you have applied this hack, you don’t have to go to Settings to activate Siri.

While making siri work on an older device it is still not highly recommended. One reason for this is the number of steps in this process but this is no problem for you avid jailbreakers.

This hack also decreases the reliability of your device. During the initial 5 minute window that I was able to connect to her, everything worked as expected. Sports scores (although oddly outdated), Movie ratings, etc.
It was seen that after leaving my IPod for about half an hour I returned to an unresponsive Siri once more. This after an hour of hard work?If your jailbreak iOS 6 its ok but if you go through this process just for siri then this is quite disheartening.

In the end, be careful about the security feature of this hack since you will be connecting to unknown servers, getting files from other networks and connecting to other repo.
After all this it is seen that if ever Siri does work, it does an ok job. Although many people will want to try this out they might be thrown off by the sheer work and lack of result involved.

USB Drive and Windows 8
Follow the guide if you want Windows 8 without disturbing your current operating system.Complete guide to Install Windows 8 on USB Flash Drive or a Pen Drive, use windows 8 in a USB by following this guide to Install Windows 8 on USB Flash Drive.
Guide To Install Windows 8 on USB Flash Drive:
PC World is set into motion again with the introduction of the brand new definitely improved edition of Windows 8 to Microsoft’s OS. All the loyal Windows users must be desperately waiting to get their hands on new Windows 8 Preview. It can be quite a job to install Windows 8 when you already have other versions like Windows 7 or XP are already operating on your PC. All the lined up tasks of creating back up for your data, making space for required OS, reinstallation etc. can occupy the major part of your time. To top it off, there is always the unnerving task of transferring the ISO file to a USB pen drive or a DVD for the installation process. You can skip all these steps and experience the new Windows 8 by getting it in half the time it usually takes.
Without interfering with your currently installed system, this guide will get you to install the new Windows 8 on a USB device instead and run it directly from this USB. No need to carry out all the processes the installer asks you to when you are installing it on PC. Just download some stuff like 16GB or more USB storage drive, the Windows 8 ISO file, WinRAR archiver and ready your PC. Using USB storage might create speed issues. It’s better to use an external USB drive.

You can start the process if you already have Windows 7 and WinRAR installed on your computer. The first thing to do would be to go to Windows 8 ISO file and extract ‘install.wim’ file. It will be found in a folder labeled ‘Sources’. Since it has a Windows 8 set-up file, its size will be 2GB. Extract this file to your desktop. After this download a small service file of 500 KB named ‘GimageX’. You can get it from the link ‘http://tinyurl.com/gimagexv2’ and once you download it extract it into a folder to your desktop. You will have both the 32-bit and 64-bit files and must select that is appropriate for your system. Next step is to use the USB drive but before proceeding back up the data in the drive because you will need to clear the drive for the process.

Plug your USB drive in the port and wait till the system detects to install it. After driver installation, open the Windows Command Prompt. In the specified sequence, give the commands one by one:
- Diskpart (This will prompt repartition and ultimately format the USB drive, save any files in USB you had beforehand)
- List disk (All drives from your system will be listed. Locate your USB drive number and note it down)
- Select disk # (Instead of # type the USB drive number you noted down earlier)
- Clean (The partition table will be swiped clean from the USB drive)
- Create partition primary (For the creation of a primary partition)
- Select partition 1 (For all the next processes primary partition will be selected process)
- Format fs=ntfs quick (From the NTFS file format the primary partition will be formatted)
- Assign (The new partition will be given a drive letter for Windows to recognize it and work further process on it This)
- Active (The new partition will be activated to allow booting)
- Exit (DISKPART service will be closed)
Your drive is now fully prepared for the operating system to be installed hence go to GimageX utility and select ‘apply’. You will see the source field; indicate the earlier extracted Windows ISO file named ‘INSTALL.WIM’. For the destination field you will pick the USB drive letter. All other settings will ramin as are, just click ‘Apply’ button. Your system files from Install.wim won’t be extracted by GimageX on your USB drive. The speed of this entire process will be according to your USB drive whereas by default it should take only a few minutes.
For any regular pendrive the time consumed should be similar to an external 2.5-inch USB storage drive. When GimageX indicates process is completion, exit the utility and open Command Prompt. For the Windows 8 to run, you need your USB drive to be bootable. This can be achieved by merely giving the following command in the command prompt.

F: is the storage drive in which all your Windows 8 files are extracted by GimageX. Don’t forget to change the previous drive letter. Within some seconds the booting files will be transferred. Once done, exit the command prompt.

And you are good as done. Shut down your computer, go to BIOS. From there enable the boot from USB drive and restart the computer again. This will make your computer boot into Windows 8 straight from the USB drive. One last tiny thing is to give the serial key and type in username and password specifics. Your Windows 8 is ready to be used. All the drivers, software and applications you install will directly be installed on the USB drive except if you have given some other path before. Explore as you wish!

If you are linking Microsoft Live account with this installation, be sure the internet is connected. You now have the portable Windows 8 system in your pendrive. To return back to your older system just shut down your PC and plug the drive out. Also, you can plug it in any other computer and Windows 8 will run on that PC.
You also have the advantage of using this procedure to install it on an internal hard drive instead and skip the DVD ROM process for entire installation.

Invert Colors on Mac
Original Source: How To Invert Colors on Mac
Tired of the old traditionally schemed color display? Wishing for a change? This tutorials about achieving that on a Mac.
Steps
Keyboard Shortcut Method
- Simultaneously press the three shown keys at the bottom left of the keyboard:Keeping the previously mentioned button pressed, proceed to press the “8” button shown. Any other “8”, say on the numpad to the right, shall not work.
- The "Control", "Alt/Option", and the Command Key are to be pressed together.
- Your new layout should look like this:
- To revert to the original layout. If you wish to regain the original layout of the screen (because this process inverts the colors to a negative expose’), press the "Control", "Alt/Option", Command, and "8" buttons one more time, enabling the Mac to revert to its original color scheme.
System Preferences Method
- Click on System Preferences. System Preferences is displayed as an icon with gears with an apple logo on it in OS X 10.3 and earlier, and simply as a silver glossy gear in OS X 10.4 and above.

- Click on the Universal Access button. It shall be the last one in the System row.

- In the Display section select the button “White on Black”.

- Once again the colors will have reverted to the negative format.
- Second thoughts. To revert back, go back and click the radio button Black on White.

[adsense]
Tips
- On a shared computer do make sure all the users know about this change so as not to create a scare.
- Before changing the scheme do consider the scheme of your visited websites. If their color scheme is mostly white or gray with black writing, you’ll have no problem reading the inverted color of the text. Combinations of more colors like blue and yellow will become unreadable due to their new contrast
- Games and video will look weird with inverted colors.
- The cursor may flicker while moving.
- It is normal for the display to flicker a few times while changing schemes, no cause for alarm.
- Photos will also appear negative. As an example, a picture of a black horse wearing a white or grey mask will, after inverting, appear as a white horse with a dark smudge for the mask.
- The advantage of inverting the colors is to relax the eyes as a mostly dark screen will allow less light to reach your eyes.
- Negative colors aid the visually challenged in using screens better.
- This color scheme will also reduce battery consumption steeply as the screen will not be lit up so bright as before.
- It may be noticed that while inverting the layout may be entirely black or white or of another darker spectrum (ex., blue will be orange-brown).
- While reverting to the original layout if anything is off about the display (see warnings section) just restart the Mac and it should be fine.
- If you have a screensaver configured then it is definitely a thing to see after inverting.
- One use is to disable PhotoBooth’s screen flash with the shortcut above. Since the colors are inverted the screen will flash Black instead of white allowing a darker screen capture.
Warnings
- Don’t try this on a public computer; different users may not know how to revert the scheme.
- Any media compilation (video or photo editing) is not recommended in this mode as it will affect the projects colors.
- On older computers the white icon label of the dock icons may not appear and the magnification may stop to work. A restart usually fixes this although it has not known to happen on newer Mac’s.
- If the colors have been inverted for an extended period of time and some applications appear to retain different colored properties just restart the Mac and it shall be fixed.
- Inverting the colors may damage the system or the screen so usage is at the users on risk.

How To Change Apple ID on iPhone
Original Source: How To Change Apple ID on iPhone
Having an iPhone or iPod and not having apps like iTunes just don’t go together. You use your Apple ID to access such apps to make full use of your device and why shouldn’t you?
You can browse through a multiple of exciting apps on the App Store: more than 108 of these listed in 14 different categories.
Unfortunately at times you find out that the app you really wanted, whether you are buying it or it’s free, is only available in some other country. What would you do if you really wanted that app? You would create a US iTunes account for US-only apps and this article will teach you how.
You will find it helpful for altering your existing ID or to switch over to some other ID.
Steps for your Device
Firstly, you must authenticate the account that is presently in use by you for accessing the apps. In your iPod or iPhone , go to iTunes or App Store and reach the lower part of the page. In App Store, if the app product page is open then return to the main screen or you can hit the Categories or Top 25. It will show you the three Top categories for apps: Top Paid, Top Free and Top Grossing. Reach down again. You must have had to make an Apple ID if you ever bought an app or got a free app.

At the AppStore or iTunes, you will see your ID at the bottom of the page.

After you have confirmed what ID is in use, go to Home and start Settings .In settings go down and tap on Store.
[adsense]

Out of the two options you see, Apple ID and Sign Out, if you select Apple ID you will see your settings for payment details like billing address, phone number etc. for this account that you are using. It will also show you the country whose iTunes Store you are buying from and you can change the country/region by following the instructions on your screen and agreeing to the terms and conditions. You might have to alter your billing details.

Tap your existing Apple ID and you can change your ID email when it gives you your email, password etc.

If you want to sign in with another Apple Id that you have, just go back and Sign Out. Now you can sign back in with the other ID.

Otherwise, you will be automatically asked to Sign In when you buy apps or iTunes next time after you have signed out.

Steps for iTunes on Desktop
If luckily, you are operating from your desktop or laptop where you have the luxury of a keyboard then you can easily change your Apple ID and associated billing information by opening iTunes and going to Store and click View My Account. It will ask you for your email.

It will ask you for your password for confirmation. Once through, it will give you all your Apple ID details that you can then change.

If you don’t have the access to your computer then you can go to appleid.apple.com to handle or modify your information.

How To Print Screen in Windows
Original Source: How To Print Screen in Windows
A screenshot can be taken in different simple ways on a Windows PC, depending on what tools you want to use and what sort of the screenshot you want to take. Here are some steps you can use:
StepsTo Capture the Entire Screen
On your keyboard there is a key you can press that will directly capture the whole screen. This key is usually labeled “Prnt Scrn”, “Print Scrn” or such and it is usually found on the upper part near F12 key. On some laptops, you have to press “Fn”/”Function” key to reach the “Print Screen” option.
![]()
To capture only one Window
You can take a screenshot just one window instead of the entire screen. Make that window active i.e. it should be in the front. Then, if you press Alt+Print Screen you will get the image of that window captured.

To save the print screened image
- Go to Microsoft Paint through Start Menu > All Programs > Accessories > Paint.
- Next, paste the screenshot you have taken by clicking the Select tool somewhere along the top ribbon. Select “rectangular Select” and right click on the canvas. Finally select ‘Paste’. You can save yourself this hassle by using any of the following steps:
- Paste the screenshot straight into the Word document or an email by right-clicking the page and choosing ‘Paste’.
- Ctrl+V is another combination you would want to keep in mind. It will paste the screenshot directly on the page or Paint you are using.
- For Windows XP and any previous version of Windows, select Paste from the Edit menu.
- To save the screenshot, click File (for Windows Vista and previous versions) or the Menu button (for Windows 7 or later versions) near Home and select “Save As…” Five the file a name and you can also select what type you want your file to be saved as. You can read further information on file types under “tips” later in this article.
Snipping Tool
It is compatible with all the Windows Vista versions other than Starter and Home Basic as well as with Windows 7 Ultimate, Home Premium and Professional. For the rest, the method explained above is sufficient. How to Take a Screenshot with the Snipping Tool in Vista gives further details on using this tool.
- Open the Snipping tool from Start Menu. Go to Programs, then Accessories and look for Snipping Tool. Or simply type in “Snipping tool” in the search box in Start Menu.
- In the Snipping tool window, click New and choose from the dropdown menu what kind of screenshot you would like to snip.

- Free-form Snip allows you to cut area of any shape
- Rectangular Snip will select a rectangular area of the size you select.
- Window Snip will allow you to select a window snip.
- Full-screen Snip like print screening the entire screen, selects the whole of it as it is except the Snipping tool window.
- Choose what you want to take a screenshot of. For instance if you select “Window Snip”, you must go to the Window you want to snip but if your selected “Full-screen Snip” then you will go to the next step instead.

- Next step is obviously to save that screenshot you snipped. On the window that will appear, click the icon that looks like floppy disk. Type in the name and select the type for the screenshot. Now you can use it for the purposes you needed it for.

Tips
You can download Jing if you want to take screenshots and videos. They will be immediately there to upload and share on the web.
No matter what type your keyboard is, it must have a Print Screen key.
At times, Print Screen key on laptop is associated with another Function key (Fn) that you can find on the lowermost row of keys.
You might want to take the size of the file you print screened into consideration so that it doesn’t exceed the size limit.
If your work makes you take a lot of screenshots then there are programs available that you can download to fasten the procedure.
When you hit Save As…, it allows you to save your file in various types:
- BMP saves the file as it is i.e.in an uncompressed format but since it creates large files, it is not recommended. It is a default format in Windows XP that means if you don’t select a type; your file will be saved as bmp.
- PNG default format for Windows 7 and it saves high-quality screenshots compressing it to small sizes. It is a recommended format.
- JPG/JPEG format compresses the screenshot but changes it a bit in the process. It might interfere with the pixels and the color gets a bit off. It is default for Windows Vista but suggested for photographs not screenshots.
- GIF does not reproduce good color photographs and only works for graphics that have solid color areas since the edges between these areas become sharp in this format.
Warnings
- If you save your files in types like bitmap then it might be saved as a very big file. It is better if you use PNG format.
- Sending a large attachment gets annoying for both the sender and the receiver. To tackle this, you can crop and convert the file.

How To Make a Minecraft Game Server
Original Source: http://techmell.com/games/how-to-make-a-minecraft-server
No matter how addicted you are to Minecraft, playing it with your friends all in the same game takes your experience to whole newlevel. Run your server and you are all set to have the ultimate fun with your own set of rules!

It’s time to step up from single player to Multiplayer. minecraftservers.net lets you select from various servers that you can join to but the drawback is, you cannot play by your own rules instead you are down to following their regulations. However, having your own server means you and your friends are free to play together u under the set of rules you made. It’s pretty easy to get.
Download and First Run

Go to the Minecraft Download page and navigate downwards to the “Multiplayer beta server software” part. For Windows users, download the .exe file and after it downloads run the file. Whereas, OS X and Linux users can install the .jar file. To run the server, enter the command in Terminal:
java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.jar nogui
You might wish to allocate more (or less) RAM for the server. For this you can vary the 1024M to another number, like 2048M: The first being the maximum number it can take, and the second amount is the least. You must have some additional gig of the RAM spared for Minecraft as everything is in Java. Chaos might break up in your game when a lot of people are playing and you doing wild things like blowing stuff up!
![]()
Once you reach the server window, you will see the related information around. On the left, memory and processor thread will appear so you can keep an eye. The number of players connected is given in the lower left whereas on the right side, you will see the chat window that allows you to communicate with the players connected. Some errors might poop up when you run the server which is absolutely fine. No need to go into a panicked state.

Your server won’t get the arrangement files it requires to run; in such cases it’ll create them. In your server’s folder, you will see files being created as they keep appearing in it.
[adsense]

Files like your map area produced, files containing server properties, ops list and other related files will be found in the “world” folder.
For the nest step you need to stop the server. As the world has completed generating, you’ll be given the help file notice. You should, at this point, type “stop” if you are in Terminal. Otherwise just close the server. Tweaking won’t be possible in a running server.
Tweaking the Server’s Properties
Open the file named server.properties into notepad. This will open up:

Some options will be given:
- Level-name: Here you will find the name of the Minecraft world you created. Altering this name will make the server to find a folder that has same name otherwise; it will produce a new level and a folder having this name.
- Spawn-monsters: Setting it to false won’t let monsters like zombies, skeletons, and creepers will to be generated and regenerated. In games where the aim is not to survive, this feature is turned off off for “op” or “creative” servers so only building can be focused.
- Spawn-animals: This one too if put to false, animals like wolves, cows, sheep, and chickens will also not generate.
- Pvp: This controls whether the player can harm each other or not. Turning it to false will stop them from doing do. However, if they push each other off the ledges they might be able to do some harm.
- White-list: This controls who can connect and play. If its set to true, the usernames in the white-list.txt file can only play.
When you’re finished doing the things you want in these options, you will save the file.
Open the “ops.txt” file and add your Minecraft username to become the admin on your server so as to operate it on your own. Being the operator, you can make any item, or do anything like banning players, or altering the in-game time.
To allow people to connect to your server you will have to enable port forwarding for your router. As default the port is 25565, this may be changed using the server.properties file. The clients will need your IP address (or DNS alias/redirect) and the port number to connect to your server.
Once ready, restart the server.
Playing On a Server

Once Minecraft is launched it gives you the choice to connect to any multiplayer server. Clicking this option allows you to enter the server address.

If the server is run on the same computer you wish to play Minecraft on the just type “localhost” (without quotes) as the server address. If not then enter the server name or IP address for the server you wish to play on. To join the game, click “Connect”.
Press T to launch the chat window.
Here you can see the user’s public messages, the system information and any and all commands you may have executed. There will be a prompt like this (>) in the lower left section, typing messages here and pressing enter will send them to all players via group chat. By starting your prompt with a forward slash (/) you may also enter server commands here.
As an example, typing “/list” will generate a list of all players playing on the server. Other options include giving items to others and yourself, banning or pardoning users and changing the time. To get more info on a specific command, type in “/help”. If you wish to see all the commands then go to the Minecraft Wiki’s Server Commands page.
Now find more people to join Minecraft! Nothing beats constructing huge structures, traversing the vast landscape, and mining into mountains, more than doing it with 8 of the people of your choice.
