They want to keep the MeeGo

A group of former Nokia employees are investing in developing new MeeGo mobiles.

Behind the company name Jolla is a former Nokia employees who previously worked with MeeGo system and Nokia's sole MeeGo mobile N9. In addition, we have fixed to it a number of developers who have been active in MeeGo community on the web. Together, it plans to drive the development of MeeGo and to develop new MeeGo models.

However, one should not release any new MeeGo versions intended for N9, a phone whose "fate is determined by Nokia" as they express in response to a question Jolla received on Twitter. It asks also interested to propose specifications that you would like to see in an upcoming phone models.

Diego says it worked with a new model for some time but reveals no details beyond that you will not use the MeeGo interface available in N9 without a separate interface that should be both at a later date.
