augo gain control on video fiber optic transmitter
As we all know the standard camera output level should be 1Vp-p that ensures a good image presenting on screen. And almost every camera are featured with auto gain control (AGC), that is the key to make the camera itself output the standard 1Vp-p video signal. But let us check around with different projects, we see there are still many colleagues can not get a good image on the mornitors. 80% of them lost quality or get degraded while video signal sending over transmission media (coax cable or fiber optics).
Is AGC a must for a video fiber optic converter? Let us simply check what are the world leading brands doing. GE (IFS or Fiber Option) has AGC, Comnet has AGC, NKF has AGC...Google more, we should be able to find the interesting thing out.
There are some products (Fiber optic converter) use MGC (Manual Gain Control) to adjust the signal level, but the meantime, they claim their products are "Adjustment Free"? We both know what the different is between MT and AT means for cars, don't we?
We can't avoid signal degrade occures as long or short the coaxial cable we have to use to connect camera and fiber optic transmitter, as long as the fiber optic transmitter has auto gain control (AGC), we get an easy install and adjustment free project to go.
VTF Fiber optic converters are all featureing auto gain control, just because we are strongly suggest our clients to enjoy our products.
