Hoover Brush Block Dual V WidePath / All Terrain 48437030 I discovered the hard way that I needed to clean the carpet fibers out of my Hoover Steam Cleaner brush block. (After using my steam cleaner a few times carpet fibers from my rug built up around the brushes jammed them and led to the plastic drive shaft on this brush block to break off. If youre looking at the picture of the product thats the little green "finger" sticking up in on the lower portion of the picture.) The entire part is made of plastic and while it feels a little flimsy I dont think it would have broken if I had properly cleaned the brushes after each use.After researching the part I bought a replacement brush block on Amazon. Be sure to check on the Hoover web site to make sure youre ordering the right brush block for your steam cleaner ... there are at least two different blocks and they arent compatible. But once I received my replacement it installed easily and works fine.My only nit is that this simple brush block costs about ten percent of what it would cost to buy a new steam cleaner which seems a bit pricey.Bottom line ... keep your brush block clean. But if youre reading this review I assume youve already learned that lesson the same way I did!

This is why i felt the need to write a reviw myself. This fan is awesome! Is true that it is grey and not white but I dont really care for the color. It is smaller than i thought which was perfect since it was for my sons room. it doesnt make too much noise but is not too quiet either which serves my son as a white noise to fall asleep. I love the fan because for the price and size it works perfect! we rarely use it in level 3 usually 1-2 works just fine. You wont be dissapointed the quality is great although the front cover does feel a little cheap but it does the job! Other stores were out of them because they are not in season so buying it from here was convenient.

Sears price was $87 but I got it from Amazon for $40. It fit perfectly and I received it in about three days from ordering. I dreaded installing it because it looked like I would have to tear into the water dispenser. My concern what if I dismantled the dispenser couldnt put it back together and then had to call Sears?! So I gave it a try.I removed the drip tray but there were no screws at the bottom of the module cover like the instructions indicated. I had to carefully pry out the bottom of the cover then push down from the top and the cover popped off no problem. One issue the cover was still attached to the dispenser module by a ribbon cord. I couldnt figure out how to detach it so I left it on. The cover just dangled while unscrewed the three screws at the top of the module. I carefully wiggled out the module and pulled out the water tube. Then the module pulled out further so I could work on it.I detached the red/black wire plug and had to cut it because it ran behind a little box. I unscrewed two small screws holding the broken actuator arm side prongs and then removed the broken arm. There was a spring arm that I had to make sure was in front of the actuator arm front prong. It allows the actuator arm to spring back so its not constantly turning on the water. It was an easy thing to do.Placing the water tube back in the water tube hole in the dispenser seemed impossible. I struggled with it for awhile then realized it would naturally go back into place as I screwed the module back on the refrigerator. It turned out to be simple once I realized the tube would just go back in place. I checked the water dispenser hole once I put in all the screws and I could see the tube was good to go.The entire job was easy. It probably took me longer than most folks because I was very cautious and fooled around with the water tube way too long before figuring it out.Easy job saved me hundreds by doing it myself. To have a repairman come to the house would have been $100 just for the person to get to the house. Then if anything needed to be done that would have been lots more.

Rabbit Air MinusA2 filter replacement kit [Toxin] (Kitchen) I bought the Rabbit Air Minus A2 system and this filter kit specifically because I was living overseas in Naples Italy. The air is very polluted and this made a HUGE difference in the air quality in our Villa. A MUST HAVE. This system is the best combined HEPA/carbon filter product out on the market. It specifically has a filter that targets toxins. If you live where the air quality is poor because there is constant burning of trash farm waste leaves and/or wood you should buy this system. Yes it is very expensive but can you really put a price on your health. The system works like a champ. I had (2) running 24 hrs/ 7 days a week for just over 2 years. It had no issues!

I was literally at wits end and ready to throw the thing out the window. I bought new filters and still the same problems. I read the instruction manual over and over looking for some reason. Heres the deal that the instruction manual DOESNT mention: there is a pre-filter inside the plastic "bagless" collector part you pull out and empty (NOT related to the grey sponge or the HEPA filter). Open the bottom of the dirt/dust collector. Empty the contents and look up inside. There is a black cylinder inside a clear cylindrical receiver. I hold the bagless collector in my left hand so when I turn it upside down the assembly is on the right. You cant miss it although I did for 2 months. That is where all the hair and other light-weight junk builds up!!! Give the black cylinder a counter-clockwise twist pull it out and clean. I literally pulled out about a packed 8-ounce cup of hair and fibers and that is what was causing loss of performance. Be sure to clean the little perforations at the top of the black tube too. Reinsert and twist clock-wise to re-engage the retaining tabs. Voila. Good as new!!As far as overall design and performance this vacs performance is on target with its price point. Its best suited for hard floors but mine works equally well on low- and medium-pile area rugs. Picks up litter my cat throws out of his box with ease. Yes its a little bulky for something marketed as EZ-Lite. Its a canister vac so as you use it it will get caught on furniture and door jambs unless the user compensates. Im a guy so the extra effort on medium-pile area rugs is worth it. Just go slowly and let the vac do the work.Just remember to clean that hidden pre-filter and you shouldnt be disappointed!

Honeywell HHT-090 Permanent Hepa Filter Tower Air Purifier (Tools & Home Improvement) Alright so I just bought this so I cant say much about reliability but I had to post a review online because Im incredibly impressed with they way my apartment smells now. I have 2 cats and litterbox odor is a big problem for me...Im a neat freak and I cant stand anything that smells dirty so I went out and bought this to help take care of the issue.And this is really the best part.I CANT EVEN TELL I HAVE CATS ANYMORE. Yes its that good. Granted theres a bit of a rubbery smell because the filters are new but itll fade in time. All I did was put it in the same room as the litterbox turn it on HIGH for about 5 minutes and the smell was gone. Ive since switched it down to low and let it run and the room smells like it did when I moved in.Another great thing about this unit is the filters are permanent which means you never have to buy more. Just pull them out and wash them when the light comes on (yes it tells you when to clean the filter). That basically pays for itself in a year or two if you look at the price of filters in comparable units.I will say that its not the most quiet unit especially on high but medium is tolerable and low is barely noticeable if youre in the same room.

It was great but eventually stopped operating properly suction was no longer strong enough (always thought it should have worked better) and the seal strip peeled away and became a gluey mess and wouldnt seal properly. It was approximately 5 years old. After reading about all the different models I chose the FoodSaver Gamesaver as its replacement and couldnt be happier with my decision. This model is almost industrial to our old one. It has a much stronger vacuum and the sealer wont go the same way as the old one by design. The built-in cutter works great too no more crooked bags and you can use this one without wasting bag material something the vertical model has a big problem with. One note about the size of the machine: its much bigger than the old one -wider which is great for us to reseal some of the reused bags (like from cheese) and heavier which we like for the big fish filets and large steaks. The old one moved around on the counter when using larger heavier packages due to its lack of weight. I am very happy with this unit and will recommend this model to others (already have). This model was worth every penny of the extra $20-30.Update: Its been two years and we are buying bags for this thing like crazy from Costco. Again this unit is SO MUCH BETTER than our original! If youre serious about buying a food saver this unit is awesome for the home gardener and quantity meat buyer. I highly recommend it!

Black & Decker T2707S 2-Slice Stainless-Steel Toaster (Kitchen) I bought this toaster to replace my 14 year old Procter Silex toaster which still works great but had some issues that were starting to annoy me. I looked at this and a Cuisinart model but decided to go with the Black and Decker because it looked more attractive. I must say that I am not dissapointed thus far. I love the bagel defrost and reheat settings! My old toaster had wide slots but the ones on the Black and Decker are larger so they will do better with toasting bagels. Another thing I love about this toaster is that when you choose the "bagel" setting it only browns one side of the bagel. How cool is that?! The other cool feature of this toaster is the lift up feature. My old toaster required me to break out the untensils to get the bagels out so this is really a plus. The only reason why I am giving this toaster a 4 and not a 5 is because it doesnt appear to have the cool touch feature. The sides of the toaster get pretty hot. Other then that this toaster is well worth the $$$.By the way the product description indicates that this is a 1400 watt toaster. That is incorrect. It is 850 watts. So those that maintain this site might want to update the description. My old toaster was 900 watts and this outperforms it by a mile.

This blender is not very powerful so the blueberries are chopped rather than pulverized. Ill buy a blender with more wattage. Also when you are deciding check out the part of the blender base that the holder fits in. If its plastic or rubber its easy to not seat the holder perfectly and the rubber will get stripped out--which is what happened to my other blender and could happen with this one--and there is no way to replace that part so the whole unit has to be thrown away. Metal parts are of course more expensive but you might as well buy one blender in your lifetime as opposed to several.Update: After two months the rubber gasket on the lid has stretched and no longer fits tightly. Ill buy a different blender since its something I use daily.

Black & Decker CTO4500S 6-Slice CounterTop Convection Oven with Pizza Bump Stainless Steel (Kitchen) We bought this toaster about two months ago after much research. Our old one was a simple cheap one from Sunbeam which lasted about ten years until the lever for toast broke.I never really wanted a "convection" toaster but I decided to give it a try because I thought it might save energy when baking. It actually does a very fast job at that much more efficient than the regular oven we used before.I used the broiler just once so far and it works well.Toast is very good: crunchy on the outside moist inside (but that depends on taste). One gripe is with the knobs which are hard to grab. The design of the knob is especially annoying in the timer because it just sort of slides to the desired time theres no way of precisely selecting the position like a good stereo knob would. We havent quite found the best spot on the timer for the perfect toast Im having to rely on visual clues and often just take the toast out before the timer rings.The tray is easy to clean and slides out conveniently.The hooks on the door hinges that make the rack slide out make it difficult to close the door completely - we decided to fold ours in and not use them so the door closes correctly.Be diligent when shopping for this item prices vary widely from place to place and you may overpay.*P.S.: after about 15 months of using this toaster we decided to purchase a simple toaster for bread slices and use the B&D as a small oven for other dishes. The bread toaster is faster and the results more reliable. As an oven the B&D does a great job.

I am so amazed at how well this vaccuum does its job! I thought you had to pay a lot of money to get a good vaccuum you know one that really works so I went and bought a Dyson DC-25 Animal to see what it could do. I dont own any pets but I thought that a vaccuum designed to pick up even all the pet hair in a house would be the best and Id heard all the hype about Dyson and how its supposed to be so great. Then I brought it home tried it out and thought "really? this is supposed to be worth slmost $600?" I could not justify all that money for something that seemed to work no better than all the others Id had before so I took it back disappointed. I decided to buy this dirt devil instead for less than a fifth the price based off reviews here and man am I glad I did!! I tried it out as soon as it arrived and it sucked up stuff even the Dyson had missed - I mean a lot of stuff! This vaccuum is awesome. Even better than the Dyson and so much cheaper its a no-brainer. Plus its still bagless has a hepa filter and all the attachments you need. The only thing I dont like is one of the attachments always seems to fall off when Im really getting into it going under the table or around other furniture but I can totally live with that. Buy this thing and be happy!! Or get the Dyson so you can tell all your friends what a dum-dum you are for spending so much money on a so-so vaccuum.

It does a poor job crushing ice compared to my other blend-n-go cup. It doesnt leak has good measurements but I wish it was the thicker more durable plastic.
