Nostalgia Electrics RSM-602 Retro Series Snow Cone Machine (Kitchen) I was worried after reading the reviews after my purchase instead of beforehand but I was glad I bought this snow cone machine anyway. Its extremely cute just the right size for the family easy to clean and it shaves ice quickly. Weve had no problems after several uses.Someone mentioned warping blades but thats probably due to overstuffing or something. Just drop in ice cubes and let it go. I tried putting in too much ice and even that didnt stop it from working.Most other ice shavers require you to freeze cylinders of water and they make extra-smooth shaved ice but not enough to handle two kids or more.

By far the best ceiling fan at any price. At $55 it moves more air and looks more contemporary & sleeker than any $500 designer fan. Same fan as the brushed nickel model so read those reviews as well. Set to the lowest speed it moves as much air as some residential fans move at their highest speed.I have it mounted above my bed. On the highest speed it moves so much air it blows the Sunday paper apart & off the bed. Standard installation will lower the fan blades almost 2 ft so if you have 8ft ceilings its too dangerous for residential installation. The blades are metal move at an incredible speed & could probably slice a tomato. You do not want them clipping your hand. BUT ... the down rod can easily be cut in half (with only modification being to drill a new cross mounting hole in the rod keeping the blades safely above 7ft. Have never had to sleep with the fan set to "high" but the dogs love sleeping under it on hot days and I find that it takes minutes to cool down the room before bed if I turn on the A/C + the fan on high for a few minutes then back to second lowest speed when I crawl into bed. Saves running the A/C in there all day.To address other writers criticisms:- the motor itself is whisper quiet. Quieter than many other brands. But it is impossible to move that much air without hearing the sound of rushing air. Set on "high" there almost a slight "helicopter chop" sound but thats not the motor thats the metal blades slicing thru the air. But remember for me the blades are only 4 feet above the bed. Mounted from a 14 ft ceiling you might not hear it at all. To me its "white noise" that drowns out other sounds (but not the TV) but again I have never had to set it higher than "medium" to stay cool at night. Your choice: strong quiet motor that blows a lot of air that creates some wind noise set on the highest when you really need it or suffer thru a hot night when you are dying for a breeze.- Lot of criticism of the old fashion looking surface mount box switch. So much so that I ordered a slide dimmer at the same time. But at time of installation I read NOT to use an electronic dimmer (why I dont know). And know from other installations some dimmers can cause the motor to hum. If you have a row of switches

Whirlpool Electric Dryer Heating Element 3387747 This part failed after four months of normal use. Needless to say I did not get a replacement from here. I believe these could be counterfeit parts labeled as whirlpool. The new one that I bought to replace this failed unit was different. It had the part number and the FSP label stamped into the metal frame of this heating element. The one I bought here had no stampings or part identification on the part itself. I would guess the part offered here is a cheap copy using a counterfeit box to appear as OEM.Buy at your own risk and dont expect this to last more than a few months.

Ive had Aprilaire 700 in my current and last home so over fifteen years. In the last couple of years this brand is the only one that was available from my local supply store prior to that Ive always paid more for an aprilaire brand. The april aire would last the entire humidification season for me and sometimes 2 seasons when I wasnt so diligent about changing it. This brand however lasts only half the season and then it collapses and bows toward the fan unit until it starts to be hit by the fan. The noise has alerted me to the issue and Ive then changed the filter. However just two weeks ago it started doing that 24 hours before I was leaving on vacation. I was able to shut the humidifier off and changed filer when I returned but I dread the idea that it might have happened while I was gone. Who knows what damage might have been done to the unit. So yes it is inexpensive it does its job but it lacks the life of the name brand and know you may need to buy two instead of one of the more expensive one. Me? Im going back to AprilAire brand.

Cuisinart CSK-150 1500-Watt Nonstick Oval Electric Skillet (Kitchen) I was a little nervous when I bought this skillet since at the time there were no product reviews on it but I was desperate and since I had had good luck with other Cuisinart products I took the chance. Am I glad I did! We were just beginning a major kitchen remodel which meant that for at least two months I would have to improvise cooking facilities for 5 adults and a grandchild. This skillet has been a real workhorse for me and a genuine lifesaver (and budget-saver) during the remodel. Its cost was no more than 2 dinners for my family at a moderate-cost restaurant and I saved that much the first week by cooking those dinners at home in this skillet instead. Its large capacity makes it extremely versatile. Ive used it to fry chicken make one-pan dinners cook bacon and eggs frozen blintzes pot roast stir-fry meals you name it. It makes a beautiful risotto and Ive even used it to cook corn on the cob and boil potatoes. Everything came out exactly as Id hoped or better. I am especially happy with the Cuisinarts solid sturdy base that wont let the skillet tip over and endanger the cook (or the curious grandchild). I also love the sturdy nonstick surface which after two months of frequent use is still like new in contrast to some nonstick pans Ive had where the coating scratches or wore off so quickly that by the 3rd or 4th use the food had to be chipped out. The temperature control responds very quickly too. You can certainly buy a cheaper electric skillet but if you use it frequently a cheap pan will be trash in a short time and you may not be happy with the way it performs in that short lifetime. This Cuisinart is worth every penny and I expect to be using mine for a long long time.

She told me how to make the food and after trying it myself I realized how EASY it is. Anyway... about the Wok... I bought it about a month ago at a local kitchen supply store and have been really happy with it. It heats up instantly doesnt stick etc.The reason I left out 1 star is because of a bad design. Its very hard to hold on to the handles when taking the food out of the Wok. They should have implemented one big handle like on a pan. Secondly their temperature control is sort of hidden under the wok makes it a BIT hard to change the temperature... but its not a big problem.Conclusion: If you want a great electric wok for the price this is defenitely a great one. I have no others that Ive used before but compared to any of my other pans/pots anything... this is hands down the best for the buck :)

Cuisinart KUA-17 1-3/4-Quart Cordless Automatic Electric Kettle (Kitchen) I moved to the U.S from the U.K 5 years ago and my first task was to find an electric kettle. I was amazed to see how rare they were and it took a while to track one down.(I was without a computer for a while so maybe that was why}. I found a great looking one in this product but was very dissappointed when it died early after 1 1/2 years. I got another one thinking it was just bad luck but lo and behold. It has just died again of the same problem. The connection on the base gives up. First it will work if you spin it round on the base until the light goes on but then it just has enough of that and becomes good for nothing. I wont be buying a 3rd. I am looking for a different brand now. For the price I expected it to last longer than 2 years.

I really never ran across them at stores in the US back when I learned about them. This kettle works well. It gets water boiling hot quickly. It does not feel hot when you pick it up to pour. It pours well. Ive been using this one for several weeks and really like it. I highly recommend it.

I was hoping that this unit would crush ice further to make more of a slushie ice. To my wifes delight this unit crushes ice to a fairly uniform 1/4" and under piece size perfect for crunching. The ice chunks end up soft and easy on the teeth and like a slushie hold onto soda or juice for flavor. The unit is used two to three times a day and seems pretty rugged.
