About
So How Did An Italian Start Cooking Indian ? Well, I've been cooking Indian food for 20 years. A screenwriter by trade, I work at home, so trading a hot keyboard for a hot stove is just a matter of a few steps. My obsession with Indian cooking began when my sister-in-law, Elizabeth, an Indologist who'd lived and worked in India, introduced me to the intricacies of the Indian kitchen.
Thousands of hours and hundreds of dishes later, I make my own chutneys, grind my own spices and enjoy exploring the various cuisines of the sub-continent. I've cooked for some of the Dalai Lama's monks, the Director of the Delhi Museum and President Clinton's California campaign staff. I'm always learning and love to share my knowledge and love of Indian cooking with others. In addition to my writing and cooking, I was the voice of Rosemary the Telephone Operator in the series Hong Kong Phooey. I've voiced many films and commericals, winning a Clio Award, and never "dated" Don Draper. My husband/writing partner Alan Berger and I live with our Siberian Husky Patsy in Sonoma, and most recently worked on the screenplay for Chaos Theory starring Ryan Reynolds.
